Scott Disick has a type. Ever since he and his baby mama Kourtney Kardashian split up, his girlfriends have gotten younger and younger and younger. Sure, these women are of age, but doesn’t it make you wonder what a man Scott’s age sees in an 18, 19, and 20-year-old girl? Yeah, we’re a bit alarmed. He’s giving us creepy, and here’s why…
From Kourtney to a 19-year-old
According to Kourtney’s Instagram account, she and Scott met in Mexico in 2006. They entered a long-distance relationship of some sort, according to Us Weekly, which was followed on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Things got real for the duo in 2008 when Kourtney announced she was pregnant. Three children later and allegations of cheating and substance issues, Kourtney and Scott officially ended things in 2015.
E! Online shared that in 2017, while celebrating his 34th birthday, Scott was linked to no less than half a dozen women within a week, including actress Bella Thorne, who was 19 at the time, and Sofia Richie, yes, Lionel Richie’s daughter. And Sofia was only 18 at the time.
Everyone and their mama were puzzled. What does a 34-year-old father of three have in common with an 18-year-old recent high school graduate? Is Scott that mentally stunted that he relates more to younger people? Or is it deeper than that?
Lionel Richie wasn’t pleased
One person who was shaking his head and clutching his pearls was Lionel. A little bit after Sofia’s 19th birthday, Lionel told Australia’s Daily Telegraph, “She’s 19. When you’re 19 you know everything. Is it going to be for life? I don’t know. But for right now it’s just a phase and I’m going to stand real still in the corner, get me a good drink, and not make too much noise.”
Then again, can Lionel really talk? His girlfriend is said to be at least 30+ years younger than him. Sooo…Lionel might want to pipe down.
As the years passed by, Lionel tried warming up to Scott a little bit more, although he was still a bit apprehensive. A source told E! News Lionel was making “more of an effort” to be more welcoming to Scott and even invited him to spend Thanksgiving with their family. How sweet.
Moving on with another teenager
Scott wasn’t in it for the long haul, though. After three years of dating, he and Sofia ended things in 2020. In October of that year, 37-year-old Scott was linked to his next tenderoni. This time, it was 19-year-old model Amelia Hamlin, daughter of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna.
Lisa is shaking in her boots at the thought of her baby girl dating a man 18 years her junior. During an episode of RHOBH, while chatting with co-star Erika Jayne, Lisa said Amelia told her she and Scott were just friends. But, obviously, things turned romantic quickly. Lisa called the relationship a “what the f-**k moment” and added: “She’s 19, he’s 37 with three kids. Hello!” Hello! Is right. I feel ya, Lisa.
In the end, Lisa chalked it up to a “phase” and decided it was best to not draw any attention to it. You know, kind of like if you ignore something it will eventually go away. But as of this writing, Scott and Amelia are still going strong.
He’s not over Kourtney
Even though he and Kourtney broke up years ago, they still have a very tight bond. They’ve been peacefully co-parenting, and right before Kourtney began dating Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, she admitted she tried to get back with Scott. During an episode of KUWTK, they reminisced about the good ol’ days during a romantic dinner. They even shared a bed together. Judging by the timing, it appears Scott was dating Amelia during that time. Um, yeah.
Then came another episode where Scott admitted he and Kourtney still loved each other and they had plans to reunite in the future. He also said he was ready to marry her “on the spot.”

Kourtney confirmed they have a “private understanding” and a reconciliation won’t happen until he makes some changes. So what changes exactly are needed? We’re unsure, but we have an inkling it might be related to this…
Scott is a self-proclaimed sex addict
It’s not just the fact that Scott is way too old for these women, and because he’s a father of three doesn’t mean he’s undeserving of love. Our real issue is his issues.
When you’re in your 20s, you should be experiencing some baggage-free fun, not chasing after a man who has a load of responsibilities and a ton of personal issues that are worthy of a therapy session (or two).
Since day one, Scott’s attention span hasn’t been limited to just one woman. Kourtney caught him in various peculiar situations, which led her to believe he was being unfaithful during their relationship. On top of that, Marie Claire revealed he also came out as a self-proclaimed “sex addict.” Run, Amelia!
He’s still processing past trauma
And then there are things that have happened that are beyond his control. His personal struggles increased when his mom passed away in October 2013, and his dad died two months later. The Sun reports his parents’ passing contributes to a lot of his pain.
In April 2020, Scott checked himself into rehab. It was Kourtney and his then-girlfriend Sofia who encouraged him to get help. A source told TMZ:
“In an effort to finally come to terms and deal with the pain that Scott has been silently suffering for many years due to the sudden death of his mother, followed by the death of his father 3 months later, Scott made the decision to check himself into a rehab facility last week to work on his past traumas.”
His lawyer later told TMZ, Scott wasn’t in the facility for coke or booze. Instead, he was there to process losing both of his parents and he had been suffering from past trauma for many years.
After a photo of Scott inside the facility was leaked to the press, Scott packed up, left, and threatened to sue the establishment for HIPAA violation.
We commend him for seeking help, and it’s unfortunate that the facility crossed the line. But Amelia, girl, are you sure this is what you want? Who are we kidding. We know she’s gonna stick beside him and be the placeholder until he gets himself together and scurries back to Kourtney and their kids.
Amelia probably thinks she’s in love, but, sometimes, love just isn’t enough, especially when one partner is battling demons. Scott needs to be by himself, on his own, focusing on his kids, and dealing with his internal struggles before he brings some wet-behind-the-ears barely legal woman into this mess.
Despite us thinking Scott Disick is creepy and giving him the side-eye about his preference, we wish him the best and hope he maintains his sobriety for the sake of his children.
