Basketball Wives L.A.’s star, Laura “Forever a Fiancee” Govan, is thousands of miles away from her baby daddy/fiance Gilbert Arenas as he is now playing basketball for the Shanghai Sharks in China under a one year contract worth $700,000. Unfortunately, the Washington Post is reporting that Gilbert was injured during his first game with the Sharks on November 24th, 2012. Gilbert hobbled off the court after he pulled a hip flexor muscle. He is now being closely watched and the team is unsure on when he will be able to return.
Gilbert and Laura have had a rocky relationship since they started dating in 2001 (story about their relationship is here). The couple has broken up and gotten back together so many times but things seem to be looking up for the two of them and Laura is back to wearing the engagement ring that Gilbert gave her in 2008.
