Tia Mowry has filed for divorce from fellow actor Cory Hardrict after 14 years of marriage.
According to legal documents obtained by RRG, Tia cited “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for their split. She is asking for joint custody of their two children, and she wants the court to terminate both of their ability to be awarded spousal support.
The couple has a prenup, which appears to have outlined things like splitting up property, assets, and child support. The prenup also states Tia will keep all of the money she’s made from her TV and film appearances.
Tia is being represented by celebrity divorce attorney, Laura Wasser.
Cory and Tia met in 2001, and Tia told Oprah’s Black Love series she was initially turned off by his shoes. They developed a friendship and eventually started dating. They got married in April 2008 in Santa Barbara, California, in front of 170 guests.
After saying their “I do’s,” their first dance was to Beyonce’s “Dangerously In Love.” At the end of the night, Tia looked at Cory and said, “Let’s do it again.”

I’m happy for them. I lived in a house where my parents were unhappy all the time. It teaches children that love is supposed to hurt and be filled with anguish. Splitting up a marriage, nowadays, doesn’t mean splitting up a family. I wish them the best as they cultivate a living environment for their children apart from each other.

Living in a household with 2 parents that argue and fight all the time, or having issues Communicating is definitely NOT healthy for the Children.
