Matt Barnes is in the midst of some legal trouble, according to The Blast.
A woman named Melisa Andino filed a restraining order against Matt after accusing him of harassing her and her fiancé, former NFL player, David Patterson. David is the ex-husband of Matt’s current girlfriend and the mother of his youngest son, Anansa Sims.
Anansa and David have been co-parenting their three kids, and according to court docs, Melisa said she and David fear for the kids’ safety when they stay at Matt and Anansa’s home.
Melisa claims the children say that Matt isn’t nice to them, barely speaks to them, and goes to another room to smoke. Melisa claimed one of the children spends most of his time in the closet when he visits Matt’s home. She also reported the kids said they feel like Anansa loves Matt more than them.
Additionally, Melisa claims Matt harasses her, David, and others in group text messages. She also alleges Matt threatened to ruin her reputation, get her fired, and slander her name.
