However, it was his contribution to Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow” that brought him the most attention. Being Cardi B’s ghostwriter landed him a write-up in The New Yorker. From there, things went up for the New York native.
Pardison found his way onto the Billboard 100 with a top 40 hit of his own called “Backin’ it Up” featuring Cardi B. The six-foot-five rapper spoke with People magazine shared he’s been rapping since he was in middle school and he can’t wait to work with some of the big names in the industry, like Jay-Z, Adele, and Beyonce.

How did Megan Thee Stallion meet Pardison Fontaine?
After searching high and low for how these two met, the only thing we could find was referenced by The Sun. According to the news outlet, during an Instagram Live session, Megan mentioned in July 2020 that she had a man in her life.
Now, we don’t know if Pardison was the man she was referring to, but the lovebirds eventually began to drop little crumbs for us to follow. She took to Twitter around Valentine’s Day and posted that her boo loves her, even though he was mad at her. That timeframe also coincides with her birthday, where she was taken away by her boo, Pardi. While on their super romantic vacation, he even had a “Pardie with a Hottie” menu where he had a catered chef create all of Megan’s favorite meals.
Megan also discreetly appeared in an Instagram Live with Pardi on February 16, 2021.

During a February 2021 moment captured on Instagram Live, Pardison can be heard yelling for Megan to open the door. Things got a little hectic as he bursts into the bathroom where she and her friends are. Megan does eventually stick around on the video recording long enough to share that her man is mad her at. She continues by telling her fans to go and tell him to not be mad at her on his social media account.
While it’s a bit difficult to understand all the audio, Megan doesn’t seem too surprised that he’s upset and says he’ll probably reference this incident as one of many that have led to him being “over” her. Whew, chile!
