Rumors have been going around for years that there was something strange going on between R&B singer August Alsina and actress Jada Pinkett Smith. We even touched on the topic in our YouTube video when we took a closer look at August’s life story.
Like most people, we thought their relationship was strictly platonic. August even described Jada as the “type of friend that everyone should have” after she helped him with his personal issues, including an addiction to pain pills.
When August released the video for the remix to Kehlani’s song “Nunya,” the text messages in the video were from a woman named “Koren.” That just so happens to be Jada’s middle name BTW. In the texts, he and Koren go back and forth as they argue about their situationship.
People assumed the video was about Jada. But when August was questioned about it, he denied it had anything to do with the actress and he said they were still on good terms.
August finally decided to set the record straight in a sit-down interview with Angela Yee. He circled around the issue for a few minutes before claiming he received blessing after Jada and Will decided to transition their marriage into a “life partnership.”
Here’s what August had to say:
“I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation, due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership – that they’ve spoken on several times — and it not involving romanticism. He gave me his blessing.”
August went on to tell Angela he devoted his full self and “truly gave” himself to Jada. He also said he really loved her and he’s “blessed” for having that opportunity. He added that he had to speak up about the rumors because they were starting to affect him and his livelihood, but he wasn’t disappointed that Jada decided to stay quiet.
Jada has since clapped back through her reps who told Page Six August’s claims are “absolutely not true.”
A spokesperson for Will told The Sun that the accusations were “wrong.”

While Will washout doing his thing, and vacationing with his first wife and thier son, Jada was doing her thing by using unknowing young victims like August! You can see how vulnerable and fragile he must have appeared to her! Poor Guy. He was more than likely trying to do what he did to further his career! Health wise, there is no telling what kind of health issues he has got, dealing with someone like Jada Pickett and any other old woman that could help his career! Anyone can see how fragile he is! Look what he has already been through in such a super short life! But, I believe what he said about how it went down and that Will may have actually gave his blessing! But Jada is the worst for doing that! This kid needed real mentoring, not what Jada did with him! I could tell he was extra frightened while he was telling that story! Easy to see he may have had advisement that he should tell that story, perhaps again, to further his career! He did not look comfortable telling it, though! So, I don’t know what to think about it anymore!
The highlight of this is really not the situation with Jada Pinkett-Smith…its the triumph of this young man. We have all had relationship issues that adjusts our views but, August is so much more than that time. His growth and perspective is really inspiring. He is an inspiring young man and I believe what he is saying is true and I fully understand what he is saying. You have to put yourself first b4 everything and everyone bc when you r gone your family will cry over u but life and time keeps going on. A true mans happiness comes from with in himself and seeking after God with his whole heart. August is doing the right thing with expressing himself. And yes he had a relationship with jada it was low key. Bc that’s how them smiths move and always have moved. The proof is in the pudding. Lol august never gave his whole heart to someone and feels played after the fact. Bc jada is not going to leave Will for him. He was the side piece.

I’m so disappointed in Jada. She’s so fake. She portrays this person that’s so wise and so together and all about being spiritually, mentally and emotionally healthy, then she drags this vulnerable young man through the mud. After he’s lost so much, why not saddle him with more loss. Way to go Jada. You just lost a fan that’s been rocking with you since A Different World. Smh
