One of the most magical things about Kevin’s stand-up is that he doesn’t really take himself seriously. In addition to that, he’s the brunt of many of his own jokes. With that in mind, in conversation with US Magazine, he shared that his favorite childhood memory was when he was tall enough to get on roller coasters.

And in case you were wondering: he stands at five-foot-four-inches tall.

His worst job ever

KEVIN HART

On a segment with Jimmy Fallon, Kevin recalls his worst summer job: a lifeguard. On the second day of work, he attempted to save a drowning kid. Things took a turn when the little boy’s mom and her friend assumed he was attacking her son. They jumped in the pool and took the little boy out. And, in turn, he told his mom that Kevin was trying to make him drown.

To make matters worse, the women said they were going to beat him up when he got out of the pool. So Kevin decided to stay in the water the entire shift to avoid the confrontation. SMH.

In an age of streaming and content, Kevin used his strengths to develop his own streaming app called Laugh Out Loud. In partnership with YouTube and HartBeat Productions, the channel houses original comedy content.  This is especially big because he allows up and coming comedians a space to share their stand-up routines.

You can also catch him in his own original series, What The Fit, where he and celebrities — like Chance the Rapper and comedienne Tiffany Haddish (pictured, left) — tackle different physical exercises.

While speaking with Men’s Health, he mentioned that his friend Wayne was over 300 pounds and was struggling to sleep. Instead of listening to him vent, he told him he’d give him $25,000 if he lost 60 pounds.
