Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges has been quite the hit with the ladies, which has left him with three children by three different women. Guess Luda wasn’t kidding when he said he had women in different area codes. Despite all the drama, he has found true love with his wife Eudoxie but creating a harmonious blended family hasn’t been easy.
Here’s the truth about Ludacris’ messy dating history.
Becoming a first-time dad
There isn’t a lot of information about how Ludacris met attorney Christine White, but some sources say their relationship began sometime in the 90s. She graduated from Spelman College in 2000 with a degree in political science. And in August 2001, she gave birth to their daughter, Karma Bridges.
It appears that Christine took a break from her studies to co-parent their daughter. In 2005, she enrolled in Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School and received her JD in Corporate Law in 2008. In 2013, she received her MBA from Georgia Tech. Not only is Christine beautiful, but it seems she has a good head on her shoulders and is serious about her education.
Once serving as the assistant district attorney of Fulton County, Georgia, as of this video, Christine is now the deputy director of a Georgia non-profit organization and is a co-host of A Seat at the Table — an Emmy-nominated talk show which gives African-American women a platform to discuss important issues.
She and Luda never married. In fact, they were never engaged. They managed to keep most of the details surrounding their relationship and their breakup under wraps. But they’ve developed a stable enough relationship over the years to build a solid foundation for their daughter.
Ludacris and Superhead
Ludacris is known for being very private when it comes to his personal relationships. So, for the most part, he kept his hookups away from the spotlight for the next few years up until Karrine Steffans decided to put him on blast.
Karrine, also known as “Superhead,” released Confessions of a Video Vixen in 2005, a tell-all book about all of her hookups in the entertainment industry. Luda found his name on her list of conquests. Although she enjoyed the size of his package, their encounter appeared to be nothing more than a fling.
Meeting his Gabonese queen
On August 30, 2008, during the rapper’s annual Luda Day Weekend, Ludacris first laid eyes on Gabonese student, Eudoxie. According to a post made on her Instagram, she moved from her native Gabon to America to pursue her education. She’s the first person in her family to graduate from high school and obtained her bachelor’s and graduate degrees. We’re starting to notice a pattern here. It looks like Luda really has a thing for beauty and brains.
Their first official date took place on Halloween 2008, but in an Instagram post, Eudoxie said she didn’t allow Luda to kiss her until 2009. Despite a slow start, things heated up between them and they began slaying every red carpet and popping up in magazines and blogs.
Entanglement: Ludacris style
By all outward appearances, things were going well for Luda and Eudoxie. When 2013 came, she continued attending events with him and would constantly post their pictures on social media accounts. Luda, on the other hand, had secretly reconnected with a woman named Tamika Fuller.
According to the Daily Mail, Luda and Tamika first met when they were teenagers in high school, and stayed friends throughout the years. In an open essay written for Madame Noire website, Tamika said Luda told her he was newly single in spring 2013 and that’s when they became intimate. Things took an unexpected turn when Tamika found out she was pregnant soon thereafter.
Did Ludacris beg Tamika to terminate the pregnancy?
After sharing the news with the rapper, Tamika alleges Luda began to psychologically manipulate her. She told him she planned to keep the baby, and he broke down in tears, begging her to terminate the pregnancy. According to Tamika, Luda told her the baby would destroy his career and his image. A rapper having a baby out of wedlock doesn’t usually hurt their image unless the baby was conceived when the rapper was cheating on their long-term girlfriend.
Tamika claimed Luda promised her a whole new lifestyle, including trips on his private jet if she would just end the pregnancy. However, after hearing her baby’s heartbeat, she just couldn’t go through with it. She knew she was willingly entering a situation where she would become a single mother. Although she hoped Luda would have a change of heart and become involved in their child’s life at some point, she didn’t have high hopes.
A gag order
Three months before giving birth, Luda attempted to put a gag order on Tamika to prevent her from spilling the tea about getting her pregnant while he was still with Eudoxie. Luda told the court it was necessary because he was “a major celebrity of great notoriety.” According to court docs obtained by TMZ, the rapper and actor claimed the gag order was necessary because Tamika was trying to extort him for a vehicle and $7,500 dollars for her lawyer fees. The judge wasn’t having it and his request was denied.
Tamika takes Ludacris to court
In December 2013, Tamika gave birth to Cai Bridges. Things were quiet for a bit until Tamika requested $15,000 per month in child support. In February 2014, Luda decided to go for physical custody of the baby. Tamika was confused as to why he wanted custody of a child that he begged her not to keep.
According to TMZ, he used his daughter Karma as an example of how good he was as a father. For an added twist, he asked the judge to have Tamika pay him child support. He claimed his money had dried up due to the delay of the Fast and Furious 7 movie following the untimely passing of actor Paul Walker. Luda also listed his 2013 income at $55,000, despite online sources claiming he had a net worth of $12 million. He was ordered to pay Tamika $7,000 per month in temporary support until the court could make its final decision.
A surprise wedding
Eudoxie remained by his side through it all, although a source told TMZ she was emotionally hurt by Luda getting another woman pregnant. She forgave him and had dreams of marrying him. She even went along with his story that they were on a break at the time the baby was conceived, although their social media accounts painted a different picture.
In December 2014, while the couple and a few friends were in Luda’s private jet on their way to Costa Rica, they flew over a piece of land that had the words: “Eudoxie will you marry me?” And she said yes. Their plane continued on to Costa Rica, and according to E! News, they got married the exact same day they got engaged.
Eudoxie wore a white dress from her closet that held sentimental value. She told E! News their simple and intimate wedding was perfect for them. She added, “We wanted the day to be about our loving commitment to each other.”
The public didn’t find out about the wedding until weeks later when they released a statement that simply read: “Mr. and Mrs. Bridges were engaged and married over the holidays.”
A lot of folks believed the whole quickie wedding was a shady way for Luda to look better in his custody battle and present himself as a family man. However, Luda told Angie Martinez (via Madame Noire) that it was the right time to do it. He said, “I was like, ‘We’re going to go into 2015 and we’re going to make this thing happen.” He also didn’t rule out having a bigger ceremony sometime in the near future.
A custody battle
Tamika was one of the people who didn’t like the look of Luda’s marriage. In a January 2015 courtroom showdown, Tamika continued her claims that it was crazy for Ludacris to want Cai since he had never even seen her in person up until that point. But Luda had a surprising ally on his side, Christine White, the mother of his oldest daughter Karma. According to the Hip Hop Enquirer, she testified on the rapper’s behalf and described him as a loving dad.
After a three-day trial, Luda was granted primary custody of baby Cai, while Tamika could only get her 11 days out of the month. The judge decided that Tamika’s income of $800 a month as a hotel housekeeping supervisor wasn’t enough to take care of the baby. There were also allegations that Tamika was an unfit mother who abandoned her first daughter, who was conceived when Tamika was a senior in high school. Tamika argued to the court that her family helped raise her daughter for the first years of her life and she never abandoned her. Her plea fell on deaf ears.
After the verdict, Luda released a statement via E! News, which read, “I am gratified that the judge found me to be the fittest and proper parent to have primary physical custody of our beautiful daughter.”
Ludacris & Eudoxie expand their family
Months later, Luda and Eudoxie announced they were expecting a baby. Soon after sharing the news, Tamika attempted to prove her financial stability by obtaining a full-time job. However, her request for a new trial was denied.
With her options fading away, she created a GoFundMe campaign (via Straight from the A) called “Bring Tink Home.” She asked the public for $7,000 to assist in regaining custody of her daughter. Tamika felt the court system was biased because not only was Luda a high-profile celebrity, but she felt the court would always rule in his favor because he was so loved and respected in Atlanta. She also planned to use the GoFundMe donations to create a non-profit organization for low-income mothers.
Luda and Eudoxie welcomed Cadence Bridges in June 2015, making Luda a proud father of three. As they celebrated their daughter’s birth, his battle with Tamika raged on.
Ludacris gains control over Tamika
Ludacris won yet another court case in October 2016 after a judge granted him permission to oversee Tamika’s social media posts that feature their daughter. He was also given the authority to demand Tamika delete any pictures he didn’t approve of. According to TMZ, he became the official decision-maker and was able to choose their daughter’s schools, doctors, and religious upbringing.
Eudoxie speaks up
Luda and Eudoxie have had more than a few bumps in the road, but they have remained together through it all. In December 2017, Luda told People magazine his New Year’s resolution was to have a baby boy. Unfortunately, Eudoxie announced in May 2018 she had suffered a miscarriage earlier that year.
In a series by Essence and Coca-Cola called If Not For My Girls, Eudoxie, LeToya Luckett, and Keri Hilson discussed what their friendship had helped them get through. When an online user commented, “Nobody told Eudoxie to leave after Luda had the side baby?” Eudoxie replied, “Many people did tell me that but I listened to my heart and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made!”
What’s next for the Bridges?
Eudoxie has completely embraced Cai and treats her as one of her own, and the Bridges family continues to create the blueprint of what a united, blended family should look like, which includes Eudoxie’s sister whom she and Ludacris have been raising.
In January 2020, Ludacris announced he and his three daughters obtained their dual citizenship in Eudoxie’s native Gabon. In May 2020, his daughter Karma announced she’ll be following in her mom’s footsteps by attending Spelman College. Eudoxie is teaching the entire family how to speak French, and if she’s not cooking her family delicious African dishes, she’s focusing on her organization called Unspoken Angels, a non-profit that empowers young women.
