Love & Hip Hop New York episode 2 aired last night and I must say, there were multiple times when I wanted to jump through the t.v. screen to slap someone. This show has got to be scripted. There’s no way these people are seriously living like this.
But anyway, let’s get started with the recap.
Remember how Mendeecees Harris scooped Yandy Smith off to get married? Well, Yandi put a stop to the nuptials because she wanted to have a big wedding with a horse and carriage and all of her family and friends present. Hmm…maybe she should have thought about that before getting knocked up (twice) don’t you think? And no one can convince me that Yandy did not know she was already pregnant while she was filming some of these scenes. I mean, look at this…
She’s carrying that baby in her booty!
Amina is in the studio with her little sister Jazz who is visiting from Germany. Amina is all alone in the states so Jazz wanted to be with her for a few weeks to keep her company and work on some music together.
Jazz tells Amina that their whole family is worried about her and her relationship with Peter Gunz. They know that Peter is not treating her right. Amina admits that sometimes, Peter doesn’t even come home at night. Shouldn’t that be a big red flag for her to leave him? Peter hasn’t had a hit in 15 years so there’s no reason for him to be away from home for that long.
Cyn Santana and Erica Mena want us to believe they are actually running a business together. When Cyn walked into their “office” there was a bunch of 8.5x 11″ sheets of paper taped to the door with the logo “her” on it. Come on VH1, how tacky can you get? You can even see above Cyn’s head that they taped a “her” logo onto a picture frame to try to make it look like a legit office. If y’all rented the office space for the show to film that’s fine, but don’t try to make it seem like you have a legit business and you’re making a shytload of money off of it. Nope, I don’t believe you, you need more people.
Cyn went away for a few days and while she was gone, Erica was having beef with the new chick Chrissy. Cyn asked Erica why was Chrissy coming at her so hard and Erica said: “Uhhh, I don’t know”. This Erica chick is really dumb. I don’t doubt for a second that she was working as an escort at some point. Her fast self was grinding in music videos all up and down the east coast so she clearly grew up with little supervision and direction. You think Erica will ever admit to hookin’ it in the past? Yeah, I doubt it too.
OMG the most cringeworthy part of the whole episode…Diamond Strawberry arrives in New York (wearing the same clothes she had on when she filmed her departure in L.A.) and she meets up with her boyfriend Cisco Rosado on the side of a New York city street. I could have sworn I saw a sewer rat scurry by. Now, if you needed further proof that this show is fake, keep reading…
Diamond is happy that after two years, she’s finally going to spend more time with her man Cisco. But, it looks like Cisco has other plans.
Diamond brought herself all the way to New York to live with Cisco but instead, he tells her that she’s going to be staying with a friend of his. Um, what?
How you gonna move cross-country and not even have your living arrangements in place? Where they do that at?! There’s absolutely no way this chick is that damn dumb. She left her daughter and her whole entire life to live with her boyfriend’s friend in New York?! Girl, byeee!!
Amina and Peter have a double date with Cyn and Erica. Erica and Peter finally squash their beef and Erica offers to throw Amina a baby shower since she doesn’t have any family or friends in the U.S. That was nice of her, right?
What was supposed to be a happy family photo shoot turns into a disaster for Amina. Peter was supposed to show up and take photos with his new wife and her baby bump but he walked onto the set late and Amina was over it. He ruined her day but something tells me this isn’t the last time that Mr. Peter will be fukking up Amina’s life.

Diamond’s mom, Lisa, takes the red eye out to New York to check on her daughter. Poor mama got bags under her eyes from dealing with her short bus child.
So many things were revealed in their conversation like the fact that Diamond has never been to Cisco’s home and how Diamond purposely didn’t tell Cisco about her six-year-old daughter.
Wow, so not claiming our kids is what’s hot in the streets now? What the hayle kind of fail motherhood is this? Diamond needs to be slapped, I’m so damn serious. She deserves to get played by Cisco to the fullest extent!
Another day, another Erica and Cyn fight…in the middle of a New York sidewalk to be exact.
Cyn saw pictures of Erica pouring champagne on a stripper’s butt and licking it off of her. Um, gross.
Erica said the stripper was her friend. Umm…call me crazy but I don’t lick champagne off of friends. As a matter of fact, I don’t lick champagne off of nobody! Erica Mena is just a little filthy mcnasty.
Cyn is still curious as to why Chrissy was beefing with Erica, so she went straight to the source. Chrissy tells Cyn the escort story. Cyn wasn’t even surprised by this revelation. She knows her girlfriend has been around the block two or three times.
Oh dammit, not these two again.
Diamond meets up with Cisco to ask him why he hasn’t invited her to his house. Cisco says he doesn’t trust people, and that if she goes to his house, she will try to move in and he’s not ready for that. He also said he wasn’t ready for a serious relationship.
Why didn’t dumb Diamond have this conversation with Cisco before she uprooted her whole entire life for him? Looks like she was working on a dream but reality slapped her dead in the mouf.
Diamond comes clean about her daughter but Cisco doesn’t even believe her at first. You see, whenever Diamond would be on the phone with Cisco, her daughter would be in the background. Cisco would call her out on it like “who’s that in the background?” and she would say “my dog”.
Wow.
This girl really ain’t shyt. I wonder how her daughter will feel when she gets older and finds out her mom used to refer to her as a dog?
This is just what Cisco needed to officially break up with Diamond. He tells her he’s through with her but Diamond didn’t move all the way to New York to be dumped. This faux story line aint over just yet.
Amina is supposed to meet up with Peter for lunch but he stands her up once again.
Meanwhile, on the other side of town, Peter is out having lunch with Tara and their two sons. He’s even planning a family trip for the four of them.
Why is Tara even allowing him to wiggle his way back into her life?
Amina just happens to be driving by when she sees Peter’s car parked on the street. She gets out and finds him having family time with Tara. How crushing for Amina, but what did she expect? She knew Peter wasn’t worth a pile of shyt when she met him.
