Keyshia & Daniel - Episode 5 "Two Sides to Everything" Recap

Keyshia Cole and her husband Daniel "Boobie" Gibson are on the phone arguing about only God knows what and Keyshia blurts out that if Boobie wants to get down with other women then that's what he should do. Keyshia, girl what? Is she seriously trying to blow the best thing that has ever happened to her? You can take the girl out the hood but...you know what, never mind. Moving on.

Keyshia is meeting with a brand manager about her last flop of an album and how she can change things up for her new album (in stores November 19th by the way).  The brand manager asks Keyshia what words describe her and Keyshia says "hood". Oh, Keysh.  She just keeps bringing the lol's in this episode.  The brand manager then tells Keyshia that Jet magazine wants to feature her family on the cover.  Keyshia is excited but she needs to run it by Boobie first since they have been fighting a lot lately.

More after the jump

Keyshia tells Boobie about the Jet magazine cover and he is semi-excited (I think? Can't really tell since he had the same facial expression throughout this entire episode) but then Keyshia drops a bombshell: they need to go to couple's therapy before they do the cover so they can work on their issues.  Boobie isn't feeling the whole therapy situation but he tells her he'll think about it.

Well, Boobie being the great man that he is, agrees to the therapy session. The first issue that arises is Keyshia's complaint that Boobie is sexist and always thinks that he should be right because he is the man.  Boobie then flips the script and says that the sexism goes both ways. The therapist asks Boobie if he is willing to stay married to Keyshia the way things are in the relationship now and Boobie says, "I don't know".

Did that really happen on national television? A-W-K-W-A-R-D!

Another marital issue is the men in the music industry.  Boobie doesn't trust them around his wife and he also isn't happy with the Keyshia's ghetto hood couture. Well, they don't need a therapist for that, they need to call up a wardrobe stylist a.s.a.p.  I love you Keyshia, but you be looking a horrid mess 99% of the time.

In case you missed yesterday's episode, you can watch it here. You're welcome! :)
