Real Housewives NJ - Teresa and Juicy Joe's Farce of a Marriage

Sunday night's episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey continued with the Lauritas, Manzos, Giudices and Gorga's wine tasting trip.  The crew visited a vineyard and after their wine tour, they celebrated Caroline "Menopause" Manzo's 70th 50th birthday.  In the middle of lunch, Juicy Joe, Teresa's husband, left the table to "call his work".  Juicy, the world's worst liar, was clearly talking to a woman.  Teresa, knew something was up, and ran up to Juicy to ask him who he was talking to.  When Juicy saw Teresa approaching, he told the woman on the other end of the line, "Here comes my b- wife, she's such a c-" And he quickly hung up the phone.

As a lover of the Jersey Housewives' series, I was bothered by the scene and super embarrassed for Teresa.  Juicy is slanging that d- elsewhere and Teresa HAS to know what's going on but she just chooses to ignore it.  For real though, if my unemployed, disrespectful, no car driving, 275 Fico credit score husband was giving the goods to someone else, I would have him sitting up on an episode of Divorce Court with the quickness!  But Teresa has four young daughters and an image she is trying to hold on to.  I can't fault her for staying but when is enough enough?

More after the jump

Well, Teresa's addressed Juicy and his filthy mouth on her blog:

“Once I watched (the episode), I was sick. I felt like I’d been kicked in the stomach…Of course I begged Bravo not to air it, but when you sign up for a TV show, you sign up to show everything, warts and all. The good and the bad. Kind of like that other promise: for better or for worse. Welcome to the “worse.” …I can’t make any excuses for what Joe said to me. He doesn’t talk like that to me at home, he’s never called me that name before, and he doesn’t remember saying it. But it’s not right. It hurt my feelings, and it was horrible to watch played out on national TV…Joe and I are happy together now. He’s a great dad and a great husband and we still really like each other. He’s not perfect, I’m not perfect, but you put up with each other’s faults for the good of the whole,” she writes. “Should I break up my family and leave him because he called me an ugly name a year ago? My pride wants to of course, but I don’t think that’s the right or responsible thing to do…People don’t stay married for decades without bumps in the road.”

That's right Teresa, deflect, deflect, deflect!  Teresa purposely avoids the elephant in the room...YOUR HUSBAND IS CHEATING ON YOU BOO! Was she watching the same episode as the rest of the world? Chile, I guess not.

One thing I do find interesting is the evolution of Juicy Joe from season one until now.  Season one showed Juicy as the loving husband whose motto was "happy wife, happy life".  Juicy gave Teresa everything her little 'A' cup bubbies desired.  But slowly, Juicy turned into an angry drunk with a bad mouth and a chipped toof (after landing on his face trying to do a cartwheel).

I've always said that Teresa and Juicy upset the producers in some way and the editing crew has chosen to only show Juicy in a negative light.  Now, don't get me wrong, Juicy has always been a jerk I'm sure, but the editors no longer show Juicy's as the loving and caring husband.  All the other husbands are only shown in a positive way so why is Juicy the only one that's getting dragged on t.v.?  Bravo is trying their hardest to turn the audience against Teresa and Juicy.  Why? Because Teresa doesn't even need this Jersey Housewife gig anymore.  She has books, t-shirts, and she's even coming out with a hair care line.  Bravo TV needs Teresa more than Teresa needs them and it pains Andy Cohen, the exec of the Housewives' series, that he's no longer the Queen Bee.

My advice to Teresa...I know you're not going to leave your husband anytime soon but your best bet is to take them Bravo t.v. chips and silently bid adieu to the show.  Take your kids and your husband away from the cameras and focus on building your empire.  Reality t.v. will continue to ruin your relationship with your husband (and your family members) unless you do something about it.  Run, girl! Just run and never look back!

What do you think? Is it fair to blame Juicy's attitude on editing? Should Teresa leave the show to try to save her marriage?
