Basketball Wives Miami- Evelyn Lozada Files for Divorce

According to, Evelyn Lozada has just filed for divorce from her husband of six weeks, Chad Johnson.  Looks like she beat Chad to the punch *no pun intended*

Evelyn filed the legal documents in Florida this afternoon and claims that the marriage is "irretrievably broken". Yeah, you think?

More after the jump

According to the divorce documents, Chad was smart enough to get a pre-nup so Evelyn will be leaving with nothing.

This is a case of when attention seeking goes terribly wrong! No husband, no mansion, no television show, AND she got rid of her shoe store Dulce as soon as she became a wifey with a ring.

Do better, Ev! This is what happens when you get married for all the wrong reasons!

So at 36 years old, she finally gets the ring and her dream wedding only for it all to come to an end six weeks later SMH.  I hate to laugh but....

Welp, the relationship that started on Twitter has finally come to an end on Twitter as well:

LOL I'm mad that he actually logged on to Twitter just to unfollow her.  Don't you have other things to worry about at this time, Chad? Like how do you plan on paying child support for them 5 kids that you have?

Other than unfollowing her, Chad has been mighty quiet these past couple of days.  I have a feeling that when he does start speaking, the ratchetness will be all the way turnt up!

I spoke too soon, Chad has finally released a statement:

"I would like to apologize to everyone for the recent events that have occurred. I would like to wish Evelyn well and will never say anything bad about her because I truly love her to death. I will continue to be positive and train hard for another opportunity in the NFL. To all the fans and supporters I have disappointed, you have my sincerest apologies. I will stay positive and get through this tough period in my life."

On another note, I do commend Evelyn for getting out of the situation as soon as possible.  A lot of women end up staying in abusive relationships for years.  Maybe Evelyn will truly inspire other women to cut the bullshit and remove themselves from abusive situations before it's too late.
